You need JavaScript enabled to view it , Professor of Woodwinds began teaching at Limestone College in 1985.  His educational background includes a DMA degree in Clarinet Performance from the University of South Carolina, a MM degree from the University of Michigan and a BM degree from Georgia State University.  Dr. Hill also served as the clarinet teacher for the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities from 2001-2007.


As an artist, Dr. Hill is the principal clarinetist of the Asheville Symphony Orchestra, second and utility clarinetist with the Spartanburg Philharmonic Orchestra and is the founder/coordinator and principal clarinetist of the Arbor Wind Trio.  He has been a featured soloist with the Asheville and Hendersonville Symphony Orchestras, the Foothills Philharmonic, as well as the Atlanta and Western North Carolina Chamber Orchestras.  His professional career has allowed him to perform with orchestras such as the Atlanta Opera, Savannah, Atlanta, Charleston, Tallahassee, Greenville and Knoxville Symphony Orchestras.


During the summers, Dr. Hill spends four weeks as the principal clarinet faculty at the Master Works Festival in Winona Lake, IN and has spent two summers doing the same in London and Winchester, England.  He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Christian Performing Artists' Fellowship.


For television, Dr. Hill has played his clarinet for the Ingle's Grocery Chain and the Lincoln Mercury Corporation.  He has also recorded several times with the Asheville Symphony Orchestra.


Dr. Hill performs frequent clinics and master classes for various music programs throughout the southeastern United States.
