Limestone Officials Visit Charleston, SC; Aim for Alumni Chapter in the Holy City

With over 1,500 Limestone College among its populace and a plethora of world-class meeting sites, Charleston, South Carolina is an ideal location for a flourishing chapter of the College's Alumni Association. During the weekend of November 14, Limestone President Dr. Walt Griffin and K.C. Barnhill, Director of Alumni and Parent Programs, visited with alumni in the Holy City.

Reorganizing the Lowcountry Alumni Chapter

On May 19, the Limestone College Lowcountry Alumni Chapter met at the local Boys and Girls Club in Beaufort, South Carolina  to further assist future Limestone College students and the members of the youth in the Lowcountry community.

"Our goal is to raise funds for scholarships to Limestone and to help pay for summer camp programs for two or more young, local club members," said Veronica Miller, Co-Chair of the Lowcountry Alumni Chapter. "We are asking alumni of the Lowcountry to help with these goals by paying annual dues of $100."

See You at the Zoo Event Gathers Columbia Alumni Chapter
On Saturday, August 29, Limestone College's Columbia Alumni Chapter and other alumni throughout South Carolina joined together to spend an exciting afternoon at Columbia's Riverbanks Zoo and Garden.

The attendees enjoyed a fun-filled day admiring the sights and animals, shopping, and having an all-you-can-eat buffet lunch. During the lunch, alumni were informed about the ways to establish their own Limestone alumni chapter.

Limestone College Pays Tribute to Frances Peebles Byars
On July 9, Limestone College honored Frances Peebles Byars, community leader, advocate and volunteer, for her tireless dedication to the College as well as the City of Easley, South Carolina.
