Silent Vigil in Remembrance of 9/11 Victims
In remembrance of the victims of the tragic events of September 11, 2001-both those who perished in the attacks themselves and the subsequent rescue efforts, and those who have given their lives in the ensuing campaigns against terrorism-a silent vigil will be held around the fountain in front of the Curtis Administration Building Friday, September 9th, beginning at 11:45 a.m. and concluding at 12:00 noon with the release of a peace dove and a musical prayer for peace.

SGA_Petition_WebElections for Limestone's Student Government Association are scheduled for September 13th. Petitions for office can be picked up in the Office of Student Services, and need to be completed and returned by 5:00 pm, September 7th.
Ron Rash to Give Public Reading of One Foot in Eden at Limestone

One_foot_in_edenAuthor Ron Rash will visit Limestone College to give a public reading of his award-winning book One Foot in Eden on Tuesday, August 30th, in Fullerton Auditorium. The reading, which will begin at 7:30 p.m., is free and open to the public and will include a question and answer session.

After the reading, Rash will be available for book signings, including those of his latest book of poetry Waking (Hub City Press), which is being specifically scheduled for release that same day to coincide with his visit to Limestone. The Limestone College Bookstore will have copies of both books available for purchase at the event.

Limestone Freshmen Surpass Goal; Prepare 62,034 Hunger Relief Meals
LimestoneCARES_PlacardOn Monday (August 22nd), members of Limestone's freshman class (the Class of 2015) assembled and packaged 62,034 hunger relief meals to be distributed to famine ravaged parts of Africa. The original goal was 62,000.
